Thirumanam Enum Nikkah has come under the ire of Shia Muslim Jamath, a Muslim outfit. The outfit has filed a case against the film directed by Anis and the producer of the film Aascar Ravichandran in the Chennai High Court.
One of the members of the outfit claims that the film has shown the community and the Islamic principles in a bad light and has thus hurt their sentiments. It was added that a few scenes in Velayudham too had similar scenes that were later removed. Interestingly, Velayudham was also produced by Aascar Ravichandran. The producer has to revert to the court within two weeks time. The film has Jai and Nazriya Nazim playing the lead.
